Girls Age 13 to 101 with the Heart and Guts to Pursue Their Ambitions

Pretty Brainy announces its search for the first Pretty Brainy Advocates, girls and women for whose authenticity, voice, and perspective Pretty Brainy will advocate in the world.

We Would Love to Know about the Girls and Women You Admire

Advocates will be girls and girls at heart who are —

• Forging paths in their personal, career or academic lives that demonstrate the moxie or guts to be true to their own vision, no matter how pioneering, nontraditional or unexpected.
• Taking action on that vision.
• Determined to meet their goals and who may find creative solutions for meeting challenges on the way.
• Living their own lives, not someone else’s.
• And whose authenticity, heart and voices should be heard and known to others.

Pretty Brainy asks to be able to tell the stories of these women and girls and the lives they lead. Stories of our Advocates will be told in words and pictures at prettybrainy.com. Up to 20 individuals will be selected by a panel of five females who range in age from 13 to 55 and are pretty brainy in their own right.

Steps for Submitting Nominations

Have a candidate in mind who would be a perfect Pretty Brainy Advocate?

1. Tell us about her in a narrative, highlighting information that speaks to the bullet items above. You may nominate more than one person. You also may nominate yourself, provided you are at least 18 years of age. Do not exceed 750 words per narrative for each nominee.

2. At the end of the narrative, cite the following. Your name and contact info will be kept private and will be used only for purposes of verifying information about your nominee.

• Your full name
• Your mailing address
• Your email address
• Your daytime telephone number
• Your candidate’s full name, email address and phone number

3. Include a photo with your nomination and cite the candidate’s age.

4. Candidates must be at least 13 years old as of January 1, 2011, and willing to be featured at prettybrainy.com.

5. Nomination of candidates who are less than 18 years old: download and complete our Parents Permission Form. Attach the completed form to your email submission. Candidates under 18 can be considered only with a completed Parents Permission Form.

6. Paste your nomination narrative and photo in an email window. Write “Advocates Nomination” in the subject line.

7. Email your nomination for the Pretty Brainy Advocates to ideas@prettybrainy.com. Email submissions only will be accepted.

Incomplete nominations will not be considered.

Deadline

Nominations will be accepted on a recurring basis.

What Happens Next

Our panel will select up to 20 individuals to be the Pretty Brainy Advocates through spring 2012. Advocates who are selected will be contacted prior to any public announcement. Public announcement will be made at prettybrainy.com, our social networking sites, and via press release.

Throughout the year, Advocates are welcome to blog at prettybrainy.com and will receive Pretty Brainy gear. Their respective stories and perspectives will be highlighted in our releases to the media and they may be featured in other Pretty Brainy communication. Neither Advocates nor the individuals who nominate them will be financially remunerated by Pretty Brainy, Inc., its officers or anyone associated with the company.
